Time to gather ‘round! November is Family Stories Month, when we celebrate our histories and stories passed down from generations. Tales of laughter, adventure, and love can carry us through the years. Record your own origin story, listen to stories from loved ones, and read books about families of all shapes and sizes. Log your reading and activities to earn badges throughout the challenge.This is a passive program through the Mokena Public Library. You and your family members can register through this link to Beanstack and work towards completing the badges throughout the month of November.From Thursday, November 13th – Thursday, November 20th, each member of the family registered for this Beanstack programcan pick up ONE free book from our book giveaway carts. We’ve got Children’s books downstairs in our Youth Services Department for children, 5th grade and under. We’ve got Young Adult books in the Young Adult Department for Junior High and High School grades. We’ve even got Adult books at the Main Customer Service desk for all of the adults!You will only be able to pick up a book, one time, during this week, while supplies last. Stop by one of the Customer Service desks for a librarian to redeem this badge in Beanstack.Check out the Mokena Library’s Children’s Department YouTube Channel to watch our Youth Services Librarians reading a new picture book each night during the month of November.
