It is free for everyone. Thereare no downloads. Tinkercad believes that hands-on projects build confidence, persistence, and problem-solving skills. It is designed to be ad-free and is kidSAFE-certified to ensure privacy and a safe learning environment. We will be running one hour classes out of the Young Adult PC Lab. Theclasses will be based on 3 projects and broken up into 6 overall sessions. Each project will take place over 2 sessions, if necessary. Each participant will have their projects printed out for them for free. The projectsare listed below:Name Plate: We will work on creating a simple name plateto get familiar with the user interface of Tinkercad.A Building/Structure: Using the skills from the previous session, we will work on creating a building like a home or some sort of structure. The only limit being time and your imagination.Model Manipulation: For the last session, we will import a model from a free-to-use website called Thingiverse and have participants manipulate in Tinkercad. These projects will be repeated. If you missed these classes you will have an opportunity to register again if the classes have filled up.Once you have registered, we ask that each participant registers on Tinkercad.com before coming to class. This is due to the private nature of creating an account. For participants that are 13 yrs oldand younger, they must go through an approval process with their parent or guardian. This may take 3 – 4 days so we recommend going through this process at least 7 days ahead of the program.
