The board also awarded nearly $300,000 in contracts for road maintenance and project oversight and appointed a new Village Arborist.

Proclamations were read for “National See Tracks? Think Train Week” and “Constitution Week,” and annual fundraising sales for local Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops were approved.

Proclamations Recognize Train Safety and Constitution Week

Scout Sales Approved
The board granted permission for two annual fundraising drives. The Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana will be allowed to conduct door-to-door sales for their fall product and cookie programs from September 2025 through January 2026, followed by booth sales through April 2026. Boy Scout Troops 40 & 41 were approved to sell tickets door-to-door for their annual Spaghetti Dinner from September 9 through October 18, 2025.
