The Mokena Police Department welcomed its newest member, as Village Clerk Melissa Martini administered the Oath of Office to Officer Alex Parks.
Parks, who has been assigned Badge #284, joins the department as a new officer. Before beginning his patrol duties serving the residents and businesses of Mokena, he will undergo 16 weeks of intense training at the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy.
The department issued a statement asking the community to join them in thanking Officer Parks for joining their crime-fighting team.
