Commander Carlson Retirement:

Snow Removal Praised:
Several trustees, including Terry Germany and Josh Bailey, commended the Public Works Department for their efforts during two recent snowstorms. Germany noted the department’s quick action to clear snow, while Bailey highlighted their consideration in removing snow from in front of his driveway.

Liquor Control Ordinance Amended:
The board voted to adopt Ordinance No. 2025-O-034, which pertains to the classification and number of liquor licenses issued in the Village of Mokena. The ordinance amends Chapter 4, Article 4 of the village code.

2026 Meeting Schedule Set:
The board approved the 2026 Village Board Regular Meeting Schedule. Residents can expect the board to continue its regular session operations according to the newly adopted calendar in the coming year.

DARE Grads Congratulated:
Trustee Daniel Gilbert offered congratulations to the fifth-grade class for making their DARE graduation. He specifically wished “everyone a Merry Christmas” following the acknowledgment of the students’ achievement.
