The Mokena Fire Protection District responded to a structure fire involving a multifamily residential building on Wednesday, January 8.
Crews were dispatched to the 10700 block of Revere Circle at 2:00 p.m. According to the district, units arrived on the scene within four minutes of receiving the 9-1-1 call.
Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the specific unit involved. While the fire caused significant damage to the basement of the residence, it did not spread further.
The district reported that there were no injuries resulting from the incident. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
