MOKENA — The financial roadmap for the coming year was solidified on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, as the Mokena Community Park District Board approved Tax Levy Ordinance 25-3.

The ordinance provides for the levying, assessment, and collection of taxes for the 2025 tax year, which are payable in 2026. The levy covers corporate expenses, recreation programs, and other park purposes for the district, which spans portions of Will and Cook counties.

The motion to approve the levy was made by Commissioner Robert Lindbloom and seconded by Commissioner Steve Jacobson. It passed with a unanimous 5-0 vote of the commissioners present.
